June, 28, 2016 (Oklahoma City, OK) – Matthew Clouse, Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City board member and Valliance Bank Norman President, was honored as the 2016 Board Member of the Year on Saturday, June, 25, 2016, at the Urban League’s 69th Annual Membership and Awards Gala.
The Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City Board of Directors established the award to honor an outstanding member of the Urban League Board of Directors. Clouse was selected because of his dedication and support to the Urban League. He has been a board member since 2014 and is passionate about the organization’s mission to assist African Americans, other minorities and the poor to achieve social and economic equality.

The Urban League Annual Gala is a signature event where attendees gathered to enjoy a reception, awards presentation, life member induction ceremony and world-class entertainment. This year’s gala theme was “Celebrating Motown in Our Town” that featured an evening with a live musical performance from the 2012 Woody Award winning band, Shortt Dogg. The evening of “Motown Glitz” featured a tribute to the late artist, Prince.
